MEMPHIS, TN – Chamber Benefits Inc. (CBI), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Greater Memphis Chamber, today announced the addition of Express Wages to its portfolio of member benefits. This partnership brings an innovative payroll solution to Chamber member companies, allowing employees to access their earned wages daily rather than waiting for traditional weekly or biweekly pay cycles.
Express Wages, a Memphis-based startup founded by entrepreneur Alfred Milan, streamlines how employees are paid by providing quicker access to paychecks as funds are needed—including immediately after a shift concludes. The service is designed to help offset financial struggles for Americans living paycheck to paycheck who may need to cover short-term expenses such as gas, medical co-pays, or groceries.
“Chamber Benefits Inc. is committed to providing innovative solutions that help our member companies compete for talent while supporting the financial wellness of their employees,” said Rob Recker, President of Chamber Benefits Inc. “Express Wages represents exactly the kind of forward-thinking benefit that makes Memphis businesses stronger and more competitive. We’re proud to partner with a local Memphis entrepreneur who understands the real challenges working families face.”
The Express Wages platform operates through a mobile app available on both the Apple Store and Google Play Store. Employers register with the company as customers, and their employees can then download the app to access their earned wages. The service is compatible with 252 payroll agencies and can integrate with new payroll systems as necessary.
“We are excited to work with the Greater Memphis Chamber to enhance the benefits of employers for the city of Memphis”, says Express Wages CEO Alfred Milan. “We spent a lot of time at Epicenter Memphis helping us prepare to launch Express Wages.”
Employees can access same-day wage transfers for a $4.95 fee or opt for next-day transfers at a reduced fee of $3.95. There are zero automated charges for access outside these two transfer windows, making it an affordable option for employees who need financial flexibility.
“As Chairman of the Greater Memphis Chamber, I’ve seen firsthand how innovative benefits like Express Wages can make a real difference for both employers and employees,” said Duncan Williams, 2025-26 Chairman of the Greater Memphis Chamber. “This partnership exemplifies our commitment to supporting local entrepreneurs while providing practical solutions that help our member companies thrive. When Memphis businesses succeed, our entire community prospers.”
Chamber member companies interested in offering Express Wages to their employees should contact their local insurance broker or visit www.memphischamber.com for more information.
